Kristi Cook brings a unique perspective to real estate, combining her love of negotiation, an eye for design, and nearly 30 years of experience in commercial and residential development. She also brings a local perspective, having been raised in Newport Beach, and offers a native-level of expertise with a skill for real estate that's been honed over decades.
As the 4th generation of a prominent real estate family, Kristi was born and raised into real estate — she literally grew up in the business. Her family were early land settlers in Sacramento and were responsible for developing much of California's capital. Four generations later, Kristi keeps that legacy alive through a successful career in real estate development and by investing in a portfolio of properties in Eastside Costa Mesa and Newport Beach.
After navigating through the crash of 2008, Kristi found a strong interest and opportunity in buying and selling residential investment properties in the beach cities of Orange County. Some of these, she remodeled; some, she helped sell; and others, she added to her own portfolio as long-term investments. This intuitive sense of how the market is moving is one of the many reasons her clients lean on her expertise.
Today, Kristi is a member of the Tim Carr Group, which is led by her lifelong friend, Tim Carr, co-founder Strada (acquired by Coldwell Banker) and co-founder of Villa, the technology-powered brokerage where they are both real estate professionals
Kristi lives in Emerald Bay with her husband, Tony, who serves the public as a Superior Court Judge, along with their rescue dog, Tiki, Catahoula Leopard who enjoys long walks on the beach, which is where you'll often find them at sunset - walking Emerald Bay beach, enjoying the natural beauty of coastal Orange County.
